Descript Promo Code and Descript Black Friday Deals for 2026

Descript promo code searches often end at coupon sites, but Descript's real Black Friday deal in 2025 was a bonus, not a code. Descript is a text-based audio and video editor used for podcasts, interviews and talking videos. In 2025 its pricing page offered 1,000 AI credits and 10 media hours free with an annual Creator or Business plan. This guide explains that deal, other Descript savings, and when VidCloner is the better buy for viral short videos.

Descript promo code: the quick answer

Is there a Descript promo code?: We found no official public Descript promo code. Descript shows its offers on its pricing page.
Descript Black Friday 2025: 1,000 AI credits and 10 media hours free with an annual Creator or Business plan, ending 2 December.
Descript Black Friday 2026: Not announced as of 23 October 2026. Check Descript's pricing page for current prices.
Better deal for viral shorts: VidCloner recreates viral TikToks, Reels and Shorts with your avatar from a link. Plans start at $19 a month.

Better deal: VidCloner

Descript is excellent when you already have a recording to edit. VidCloner is for when you want new viral short videos without filming. Paste a TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts link, pick an avatar, and VidCloner recreates the video. Clone keeps the original audio and transfers the motion with Kling, and Remake generates a fresh version with models such as Kling, Seedance, Sora or Grok. If VidCloner runs a Black Friday offer, it shows in the banner at the top of this page; otherwise plans start at $19 a month.

Descript Black Friday 2026: what to expect

Descript's Black Friday 2025 deal was a bonus offer. An archived copy of Descript's pricing page from 3 December 2025 shows the banner: Black Friday deal, get 1,000 AI credits and 10 media hours for free, expiring 2 December. It applied when you upgraded to an annual Creator or Business plan.

So the 2025 deal did not lower the price. It added extra usage on top of the annual plan, which already saved up to 35% compared with monthly billing according to the same page.

We could not find an official Descript Black Friday offer for 2024. Its pricing page on 30 November 2024 showed only the usual annual saving. As of 23 October 2026, Descript has not announced a Black Friday 2026 deal.

Year	Offer	Source
2026	Not announced yet	-
2025	1,000 AI credits and 10 media hours free with an annual Creator or Business plan, until 2 December	Archived descript.com/pricing, 3 Dec 2025
2024	No Black Friday offer found; annual billing saved up to 35%	Archived descript.com/pricing, 30 Nov 2024

Descript promo codes and coupons: what actually works

A Descript discount code from a coupon site is rarely real. Descript's own savings show on its pricing page, and they are the ones you can trust.

Coupon sites rank for searches like descript coupon and descript coupon code, but most of the codes they list are expired, region-locked or never existed. Many are placeholders that only send you to Descript's normal checkout through an affiliate link. If a code does not appear on the brand's own site, in its emails or with an official partner, treat it as unconfirmed.

Annual billing: Descript's pricing page says it saves up to 35% over monthly.
Free plan: Descript has a free plan, and you do not need a card to try it.
Students, educators and non-profits: Descript's pricing FAQ says special rates exist through a form.
Seasonal bonus: in 2025 the Black Friday deal added AI credits and media hours.

Descript vs VidCloner

Descript and VidCloner do different jobs. Descript edits recordings by editing text. VidCloner creates new short videos from viral ones.

Descript prices, plan limits and credit rules change often, so check Descript's pricing page for the current numbers.

Why VidCloner is the better Black Friday buy for short-form creators

Descript's Black Friday bonus helps if you edit a lot of long recordings. It does not help if you want more short videos and do not want to film. VidCloner starts from a viral video and gives you your own version.

You can clone the exact motion with Kling, remake a video with a different model, or add effects like GTA or glow-up. The inspiration library and creator directory help you find what to clone.

VidCloner has three monthly plans in USD and you can cancel anytime. One credit is about one video. Remake costs 0.5 to 2 credits depending on model and length, and AI avatar generation costs 0.2 credits. Subscribers can buy 1 to 100 extra credits, from $4.00 down to $1.80 per credit. Credits are refunded automatically if a generation fails, and generated videos are stored permanently.

If VidCloner runs a Black Friday offer, it shows in the banner at the top of this page; otherwise plans start at $19 a month. VidCloner has no free plan and no free trial, so any real discount will come from that banner or from VidCloner's own emails.

Plan	Price (USD, monthly)	Credits	Includes
Starter	$19	5 video credits	Clone workflow, avatar uploads, email support
Creator	$49	15 video credits	AI avatar generation, Clone and Remake, priority support
Master	$59	30 video credits	Same features as Creator
